Learning Manifesto

When what you do is based on the passion for what you do and how you do it, your demands on how to impart and transmit it increase. Since I became a Teacher, I have noticed that in addition to improving my growth mentality day by day, I inject passion into everything I do and enjoy it in each learning process that I transmit to my students.

“Technology will never replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational.” – George Couras

Another important component of learning is collaboration; learning with and through others. Whether the interaction is teacher/learner or learner/learner, key communication skills such as listening, speaking, and an understanding of nonverbal cues are developed as each participant shares their thinking and ideas. These collaborative learning experiences also provide students the opportunity to apply key life skills such as taking turns, delaying gratification, problem solving, and helping others.

I help my students develop a love of school and a love of learning by creating an environment that supports my beliefs. I make learning fun and help my learners continue to take those next steps in their learning journey through carefully designed, meaningful, and appropriate experiences

Through blended learning and the rotation of stations in Two way dual language that I established in my innovation proposal, students have greater projection, evolution and decision through authentic learning activities that promote collaboration, integration and exploration of the world that surrounds them in breadth of language.

It is important to highlight that each part of this COVA model is important, because each one plays a role in the way of learning and teaching effectively. In my classroom I take into account that the state of Texas has a pre-established study plan to follow, indicating what I must teach from which my district generates the curriculum to develop it, but allows teachers to combine strategies for students with the COVA method and choose, have the decision and the autonomy to teach and assign the activities.

The solution I propose is the tests with a better integral development of the student for their education, the students are grouped in small groups and they learn as a team. They also do it in personalized learning, where the individual needs of each one are met, which should be our focus for the future of our educational system. An annual measure of individual student growth seems appropriate, but the sole purpose of these assessments should be to inform teachers so they can better plan for individual student learning.

Until my proposal is accepted by the SFE administration, I must enjoy and take advantage of my current situation. I know I can't control the standards, the assessment tools I should use or the frequency of administration, these are outside my circle of influence. But I can control the learning experiences I plan for my students. I can design learning that is practical. I can give them to my students and provide options.

I can make sure I am meeting my students where they are, and I can focus on helping my students develop and act on a growth mindset, to view my plan Growth Minsedt - and the resources I have collected.

It is essential that early childhood education develops students' phonemic awareness, phonics skills, print awareness, reading comprehension skills and the world around them through social studies. And there are students whose own personal interest and preparation leads to greater learning, hence the interest of taking my students to a combined model of learning in two dual way languages.

However, that is not the case and I still see resistance to implementation and change.  However, hopefully if I keep pushing my innovation plan Innovation Plan  and support from administration, then more of my environment will adapt to a growth mindset and continue to  grow in technology and digital innovation. This will be needed to continue the transformation of education. Grow in technology and digital innovation. This will be needed to continue the transformation of education.

Change and innovation in learning is a necessity to adapt in education. Technology has opened more doors with different learners having different needs. Technology has opened more doors. Innovation and Technology is a way to customize education for those different needs. It allows the move from traditional teaching and learning to more student centered and innovative.

Blended learning is a truly exciting endeavor that I hope to see in action soon!

Tools must be evaluated for their appropriateness and digital consumption must be monitored. There is a big difference between passive screen time - watching videos and playing mindless games, and true digital learning and creation experiences.

Digital learning is the future. I aspire to lead early childhood educators to understand how to appropriately integrate digital tools into their classrooms to support and showcase their learners, and I look forward to creating engaging learning experiences for my students to develop their love of school and of learning.

I can conclude that digital learning is the future. Educators create supportive environments that allow students to become and remain engaged in their learning. By using effective digital learning, you promote self-awareness and determine the learning of each student. Everything is possible. If teachers focus on a student's grade and spend that extra time focusing on a student's growth, students will gain a multitude of skills. Students will not only learn the skills they need in the classroom, but skills that transfer to life after school.
